Your CWA kicked off Bargaining with Verizon in Santa Fe Springs.

The Bargaining Committee has been preparing for the past 2 weeks to bargain with Verizon.

The Union opened up with a statement, “The CWA proposals are specifically designed to address the concerns of our members, their working lives, and the welfare of their families”.

The Company presented proposals on the following items:

• Article 19-Overtime Hours
• Article 22-Vacations  
• Article 29-Differentials 
• Medical Plan
• GPS
• Healthcare Contributions
• Long Term Disability
• Retiree Life Insurance
• Out of State/Out of Franchise
• Pension Survivor Benefits
• Health Reimbursement Account
• Wages
• Voluntary Employees Beneficiary Association (VEBA)
