David Contreras

David Contreras brings over 20 years of hands-on union leadership, financial accountability, and contract enforcement to the CWA membership. Currently holding dual leadership roles as the Secretary-Treasurer of CWA Local 9586 and the CWA Southern California Council, David manages the crucial financial infrastructure that keeps the labor movement moving forward. His extensive ground-level experience as a Shop Steward for over two decades fuels his aggressive approach to representation. David directly shapes the working conditions of the membership by serving on the Frontier unit bargaining committee and securing strong protections within the printers' contracts, fighting daily to hold management accountable.
