CWA/ AT&T Bargaining Bulletin #58
September 30, 2016
CWA Local 9504 Members - Ward Street in Simi
For the past week, District 9 Vice President, Tom Runnion has been meeting with your Union Bargaining Team in an effort to reach an agreement with AT&T.
Executive Vice President of AT&T Labor Relations, Mark Royse flew out to meet with Vice President Runnion in an attempt to move negotiations. The Union and the Company Bargaining Committee’s met and shared their respective positions on the open proposals on both sides. Although there are still major differences that need to be resolved, the parties made some movement today.
The Union Team will continue to work through the weekend in an effort to achieve a fair collective bargaining agreement. The Union Team continues to let AT&T know that our members will not settle for what is on the table!
OUR MEMBERS NEED AND DESERVE MORE!
UNION MEMBERS! CONTINUE TO LET MANAGEMENT KNOW YOU DEMAND A FAIR CONTRACT AND WILL FIGHT FOR IT!
The only thing workers have to bargain with is their skill or their labor. Denied the right to withhold it as a last resort; they become powerless. The strike is therefore not a breakdown of collective bargaining-it is the indispensable cornerstone of that process.—
Paul Clark, 1989
All official negotiation and mobilization information will be delivered on the District 9 website. (www.district9.cwa-union.org), Local Websites and email lists.
