Local 9003 611 Call Center Rallying for a Good Contract in North Hollywood!
Today your Union Bargaining Committee met with the Company where we discussed the scope of work for Premises Technicians. The Company responded to some of the data requests that were submitted by the Union concerning Workforce 2020, Voluntary Separation Benefits (VSB), Parking Fees, Call Volumes and Health Care.
The Verizon East employees had been on strike since April 13, 2016. We want to give all of the locals that participated in supporting the strikers a huge Thank You! On May 27, 2016, the U.S. Secretary of Labor, Thomas Perez announced that the parties had reached an agreement in principle on a four-year contract. For details contact:

AB 2395 did not come out of the Appropriations Committee last Friday which means the bill is considered defeated for the 2016 legislative session. This is great news! This Assembly bill would have been detrimental for California Consumers, Rural Communities and Jobs.
