CWA/ AT&T Bargaining Bulletin #23 April 19, 2016
Local 9423's 19th Avenue Splicers in San Mateo
The Company passed a Benefits proposal across the table today.
- The proposal lowered the contributions marginally in 2017 and 2018 for 2009 new hires and current employees. However, costs still remain unreasonably high for 2012 and 2016 new hires.
- The Company also integrated dental and vision into the benefits proposal which includes additional cost to all employees beginning in 2017.
Your Union Bargaining Committee is reviewing this meager attempt to show movement at the table by the Company.
Just a clarification from our Bargaining Bulletin yesterday: The CWA Executive Board authorized strike action against AT&T West in CWA District 9, subject to President Chris Shelton setting the date.
