Today your union bargaining committee had a busy day. We met in formal session where the Company responded to some outstanding requests for information.
The Union and Company also met in subcommittee for the Memoranda of Agreements. Determinations between the parties were made concerning which Agreements should be maintained and which are either outdated or are no longer applicable. Out of almost 200 Memorandums, we have reviewed 86.
This afternoon the Union and Company bargaining teams met on Appendix E. The Company shared their business need with respect to forced overtime, scheduling, sick time and consecutive days off. In response, the Union expressed the needs of the employees who work long hours, forfeiting time with their families to make AT&T the prosperous Company they have become.
