Occupiers blast Verizon bonus babies during union solidarity march in San Francisco
Peter Olney, organizing director for the ILWU, denounced telecom giant Verizon's fondness for showering its fat cat execs with obscene bonuses while demanding concessions from its CWA-represented workers. A throng of 99 percenters marched Friday through San Francisco in solidarity with the CWA and other unions battling for workers' rights. Olney and other marchers sported posters showing the Verizon corporate elite with gold-coin eyes, gloating about their paychecks. The march wound up at the Occupy San Francisco camp at the waterfront.
