Support SEIU UHW Actions at Kaiser Modesto and Manteca

Kaiser Permanente employees represented by SEIU UHW have been preparing for a new round of system-wide contract negotiations. Despite clearing $2.5 billion in 2018, Kaiser appears committed to outsourcing and automating jobs, silencing worker voices, lowering worker wage standards and raising healthcare costs. Local union members are fighting back by hosting rallies at Kaiser Permanente facilities in Modesto and Manteca this Wednesday, 5/22 from 11AM-2PM and I strongly encourage you to support them by stopping by one of two locations. SEIU UHW Rallies at Kaiser Permanente Locations Wednesday, May 22, 2019 11AM-2PM Location 1: 4601 Dale Road, Modesto Location 2: 1777 W Yosemite Ave, Manteca They'll be rallying the whole time, but be sure to be there for speaking programs at 12:30PM, where you'll hear directly from members and elected officials there is support. Kaiser Permanente is one of the largest union employers in California, with several unions representing tens of thousands of workers. If the SEIU UHW members can't secure a contract that protects jobs and wages, and keeps healthcare costs reasonable, many more workers will suffer the same fate. An injury to one is an injury to all! That's why we need union members and allies to stand in solidarity with health workers at Kaiser by attending one of these to rallies and support this critical contract fight!  In Solidarity, Tim Robertson, Executive DirectorNorth Valley Labor Federation
