Historic Strike in CWA District 9
We made history in District 9, just one week ago.
Over 22,000 AT&T workers across California, Nevada, and Hawaii went on strike against AT&T West, Mobility and DIRECTV West. This historic first strike, for Mobility and DIRECTV West workers in District 9 prompted hundreds of store closures all three days of the strike. The strike was covered in the LA Times, NY Times, Mercury News, Nevada-KXNT and dozens of other new outlets.
To get a sense of the enormous scope of the strike watch District 9's video with amazing historic strike.
This strike sends a powerful message to AT&T - we're not going to back down until we get a fair contract. Click here to see additional pictures of the strikers across District 9.
CWA Locals are planning additional informational pickets in front of the AT&T mobility stores again next week. Contact your Local union to find out how you can participate.
CWA Strong... Walking the Line All Day Long!
Have a safe and fun Memorial Day Holiday.
Sincerely,
CWA District 9
All official negotiation and mobilization information will be delivered on the District 9 website (www.cwad9.org), Local Websites and email lists.
