CWA-AT&T Mobility Bargaining Report #17, Saturday, February 9, 2013
Bargaining resumed today with a pleasant surprise from our Union Brothers and Sisters. As the bargaining committee was in discussion with Company, many of our union friends were circling around the hotel where our meetings have been taking place making sure the Company knew we came to get a fair contract and that we didn’t come alone. Their caravan was led by the biggest rat you would ever want to run into. The bargaining committee appreciates and thanks the members from the International Brotherhood of Teamsters, Jobs with Justice, the Newspaper Guild from CWA Local 37074, CWA Locals 7777, 7702, 7704, 7906, 7603 and last but certainly not least District 7 Vice President Mary Taylor and her staff.
At this stage of the bargaining process and with less than 24 hours before the contract expirations, the Union presented a comprehensive proposal to the Company outlining every issue that still needs to be addressed.
The Company requested a recess to allow them time to review our proposal.
The Union is on call awaiting word from the Company.
STAY INFORMED. BE PREPARED. EXPECT THE BEST
