CWA Members and Retirees Affected by Wildfires Have Our Full Support
A message from CWA President Claude Cummings Jr.:
As wildfires continue to rage in the Los Angeles area, I am praying for the safety of those who are in harm’s way and for the firefighters and other first responders who are putting their lives on the line.
CWA Secretary-Treasurer Salaam and I have let CWA District 9 Vice President Frank Arce know that he, his staff, and our local presidents have the full support of our entire union as they work to provide resources and relief to our members, our retirees, and their families who have been affected by this disaster. Members and retirees who need assistance should contact their local.
I am thankful for all of the CWA members who are helping provide critical services and news coverage even as their own homes are under threat. Rebuilding in the fact of such staggering loss will not be easy, but our strength and our solidarity will see us through.
NABET-CWA members are providing essential news coverage of the wildfires in Los Angeles.
