District 9 Verizon members volunteered to go to Texas
On Saturday May 29, 2015, twenty CWA/VZ Technicians from Locals 9575, 9586, 9588 and 9400 volunteered to go to Texas, CWA District 6, to help repair communications services due to the storms and flooding in the communities of :
Baytown, Portland, Bryan, Jacksonville, Kilgore, Sherman, Marble Falls, Wimberely and Floresville. The Technicians drove 2 days to get to Texas and will work for 2 weeks to restore service. Then return home. We are proud of the contributions the members of these Locals are giving to the Texas communities. Our Union brothers and sisters in Local 6171 appreciate the help and welcome their California Brothers!
