DTV Bargaining Update #4 - February 29, 2024
February 29, 2024
As of today, the bargaining committee has made some progress towards further tentative agreements with the Company on implementing Union\Company relations regarding language in the new contract.
We are eagerly awaiting responses on requested information from the company on subjects including employee-initiated transfers, priority application processes for members applying for open positions at DirecTV, clarification on disability benefits and all pertinent data on contracted out labor.
The majority of the proposals we have seen from the Company have been attempts to limit the existing protections we are provided with in the contract or to remove existing MOAs. We are not interested in moving backwards. The Company has either rejected or failed to respond to most of the Union proposals on substantial subject matters in the proposed contract. We are eagerly awaiting their responses while formulating new proposals to ensure an equitable labor agreement that we can all support.
As we move forward with the fight for a better contract, we ask that the members continue to offer their support and prepare to act if called upon. Stay in touch with your Union leadership team and let them know what you are willing to do for the mobilization effort.
