The Union and Company resumed negotiations. 

The Union has still not received a serious, FAIR, and JUST healthcare counter proposal since the last regressive proposal that has come across the table. 

Your Bargaining team arrived on time and ready to bargain!

Instead, after opening the table, your Bargaining team presented yet more proposals and counter proposals and the Company caucused. After hours of caucus not only did the Company come back to the table with no counters and or proposals, they wanted to read a “statement” on the record to your committee that was disrespectful, accusatory and a disgrace to the table.  Whomever orchestrated this statement clearly is ill-equipped for their job but has made it clear that they, the “author” of said statement, is treating bargaining like a game and are not serious about moving this table to a fair and equitable contract.  The inconsequential blurb that the Company read to your committee had “matter-of -fact” statements that accused your Bargaining Chair and the entire Bargaining Committee with unfounded declarations. Furthermore, the statement went on to discuss and accuse our membership with baseless allegations. We simply will not tolerate treating bargaining like a game and did not hesitate to make that clear at the table. Our membership deserves better than that! 

Late evening the Company returned to the table with a counter to the Unions Article 32 that didn’t quite meet our expectations, we will counter tomorrow.

We both committed to working throughout the day tomorrow to hopefully come closer to a more even-handed contract. We are still awaiting several items from the Company and have consistently requested to work on items to move this table.
