Frontier Bargaining Report #6 - 9/5/2025

Frontier Bargaining Report #6
9/5/2025
This morning bargaining resumed addressing the previous day’s proposals.
The committee transitioned to Frontier’s healthcare contributions presentation. In true form
Frontier repeatedly stated costs have risen to the point members, YOU, would pay at least 60%.
The Union questioned the data to substantiate the excuse to increase premiums and out of pocket costs – Frontier was unable to answer the Union with data (claims, reports, etc.).
Frontier verbalized the driver was unnecessary medical services. The last time we checked Frontier is classified as a telecommunications company, not a medical provider with the
education of medicine. The Union will not stand for shifting “so-called” costs to the members that kept this company afloat as they navigated through bankruptcy – Frontier’s morning counterproposal was rejected.
Frontier rejected the Union’s Article 30 proposal, however, proposed a Safety MOA – Union rejected Frontier’s MOA proposal.
The Union introduced several proposals – we are awaiting Frontier’s response.
- Long Term Disability (LTD) MOA
- Business Attire MOA
- Vacation MOA
- Fiber Network Field Technicians (FNFT) Schedule MOA
- Vision Benefit MOA
CWA elected bargaining committee paused negotiations late this evening while we reviewed Frontier’s counterproposals on healthcare contributions and Article 30 - throughout today’s negotiations there was positive movement towards an agreement.
Bargaining will resume tomorrow morning.
Please continue to mobilize and support your bargaining committee!
