Oct. 2nd Action hosted by SEIU United Service Workers West
Los Angeles is an economically divided city that works for big companies like Southwest and American Airlines, Uber and Lyft, and McDonalds, but not for people like us. Working people struggle to afford the things we need for our families including rent, food, gas, and school supplies.
On October 2nd, All of the communities who make our city great- Black, white, Latino, Asian, immigrants- are coming together to demand #UnionsForAll so everyone in LA can live, work and raise our families in our great city.
Date: Wed, 02 Oct 2019
PARKING INFORMATION: Sun Rise LAX Parking | 6155 W 98th St, Los Angeles, CA 90024 | Price:$15
*If this lot is full, there are other private lots surrounding it. Beware of parking at the hotels near the action meeting point as we have heard that they are raising their prices.Despite record profits, big airlines like Southwest and American are cutting corners and switching union jobs to irresponsible nonunion contractors. They want to push LAX workers into the line of danger as many struggle with inadequate healthcare, increased workloads and unsafe and unhealthy working conditions.
LAX workers, who are disproportionately people of color and immigrants, represent every community in Los Angeles. Let’s support their fight for Good Union Jobs, Respect and a Safer Airport on Oct 2nd as we join with other unions and allies to hold big airlines accountable.
Joins us to celebrate immigrant workers and hold big airlines accountable.
