Verizon Bargaining Bulletin #5

CWA/Verizon Bargaining Bulletin #5

March 7, 2025

Your bargaining committee met with the Company today. The Union countered proposals on differentials and on-call. We also rejected a proposal on vacation accrual.

Later this afternoon, the Company responded to the Union’s counter proposal and accepted our proposal on differentials and on-call. We also moved to a 3-year agreement from a 2-year.

The Company responded to our members’ concerns about the Team Performance Award. After looking it over, the Company saw that the First Time Yield was a measurement that has consistently not been met. The Company agreed to replace that measurement.

Another issue our members expressed concern about was sick time. The Company has agreed to modify the Floating Holiday to be used as sick time. It also waives the thirty (30) day notice requirement.

At this time, the contract has been extended until Tuesday, March 11, 2025, which is when the Committees will reconvene.
