American Airlines Bargaining Update - August 14, 2015

BARGAINING UPDATE

    August 14, 2015

Your CWA/IBT Association Bargaining Committee met last week on August 11th, August 12th and August 13th.  On Tuesday August 11 the Union presented a counter to the Company’s counter proposal on Article 9 Filling of Vacancies and a counter to Article 31 Part –Time Employees. Later in the afternoon the company presented their counter proposal on Article 9 Filling of Vacancies.  On Tuesday Morning August 12th the Union passed our counter proposal for Article 9 Filling of Vacancies. The Company gave the Union their Counter proposal on Article 31 Part-Time Employees.   In the afternoon the Company gave the Union their counter proposal on Article 9 Filling of Vacancies. The Union and the Company reached a tentative agreement on Article 31 Part Time Employees.

 On Wednesday August 14th, The Company presented their counter on Article 4, Groups/Classifications. The Union presented our counter on Article 9 Filling of Vacancies. There was a discussion of the Company’s progress with PSS and the need for limited overtime on October 17th and the next week. The Company feels that every effort has been made to make sure the actual integration is successful and should not cause a problem to customers or agents. We have added dates to bargaining so the next session will now begin on August 24th thru August 28th.  Four scheduled sessions are left.
