AT&T West Bargaining Buletin, #97, Wednesday, September 12, 2012
Vice President Art Behnam, Local 9412
President Kenny Williams, Local 9510
The Union and the Company met today long enough for Union Bargaining Chair, Tom Runnion to reject the Company’s latest package proposal. The following statement was read into the record:
The Union is disappointed that the Company moved so little in this package towards a fair and equitable agreement that our Members deserve. Especially considering the significant movement the Union made in its last proposal. The move to eliminate retroactivity on Wages is a slap in theface and will not be tolerated by our Members! The Healthcare cost share is still way off base and not in the realm of reality. The net effect of the Company Wage and Healthcare proposals will result in many of the Members making less at the end of this contract than they are today. Therefore, the Union rejects the Company’s package proposal #52 and stands on its package proposal #45.
Your Bargaining Committee is ready to continue to fight for a Good Contract!
It takes all of us as Union Members to DEMAND a GOOD CONTRACT and
tell AT&T we will not settle for less!
KEEP FIGHTING FOR THE AMERICAN DREAM!
