Coalition of Labor Union Women
As you know, the gender wage gap means that women get paid less than white men. The gap is even wider for women of color, especially Latinas. For every dollar that a white non-Hispanic male makes, Latinas only make 55 cents. That means that Latinas would have to work 22 months – until October 30th of this year – to equal what their white non-Hispanic male counterparts took home last year alone.
Please join CLUW today, October 15th, the last day of Hispanic Heritage Month, byparticipating in a Twitter storm for #LatinaEqualPay.
