Coalition of Labor Union Women's Leadership Skills Training Conference March 27-29, 2014
CWA Next Generation, CLUW Members and Friends:
The Berger - Marks Foundation has awarded CLUW a grant that will cover expenses for 10 young women to attend the Coalition of Labor Union Women’s Leadership Skills Training Conference taking place in Chicago from March 27-29. CLUW will be taking care of the registration costs for the successful candidates.
The deadline for submission of the educational scholarship application is this Monday, Feb 24. All up and coming women unionists 35 and younger are eligible to apply.

The conference includes 4 tracks 6 hours in length covering Political and Legislative Action, Leadership, Community Partnerships/Engagement and Public Speaking. In addition there will be individual workshops including, Learn to Negotiate Anything; Mentoring; Grant Writing; Common Sense Economics for Women; Social Media; Voter Suppression; Combating Racism; Domestic Violence; Growing CLUW; Reproductive Justice; Getting Breast Cancer out of Work; Discrimination and Harassment on the Job: An EEOC Primer; Seven Strategies that Promote Women’s Activism and Leadership in Unions and Human Dignity, International Treaties and Women’s Rights.
