JOIN US in a RALLY TO SUPPORT THE 530 PICO RIVERA WALMART ASSOCIATES! MONDAY APRIL 20th NOON sharp!

On Monday April 13th, workers who were on the clock were given LESS than 5 hours’ notice that the Pico Rivera store was closing due to ‘plumbing’ issues.

This affects about 530 workers and families.

Tears, anger, and frustration are felt as folks are distraught and unsure about their future.

Many associates who weren't working that day found this out THROUGH FACEBOOK and by co-workers calling and texting around, not through Walmart Management.

Today, Walmart Management had all 530 workers come to the Doubletree hotel to find out what will happen to them.

Workers were told they had to go in 1 at a time and speak to one of Walmart’s lawyers.

A lawyer tried to attend with one of the first workers, and was denied access.  The worker had to attend alone.

Many associates were told that Walmart will set up interviews so workers can REAPPLY, but there is no guarantee that they will be placed.   Many believe this is an excuse to pay people less, have folks reapply, and have folks lose any benefits.

WHAT CAN WE DO ABOUT IT?

Join us for a RALLY at PICO RIVERA WALMART on MONDAY APRIL 20th at NOON Sharp.
