Our future depends on standing united.
It’s time for more action. Today, at informational picket lines across the Verizon East footprint,
we’re standing united with our brothers and sisters at Verizon Wireless for good jobs.

Verizon’s Strategy is Simple:
Cut wireline and grow wireless
Isolate the union in wireline and keep wireless non-union to reduce our power to protect the contract.
For years, Verizon successfully kept CWA out of Verizon Wireless retail stores. In all of Verizon Wireless, only 75 CWA Local 1101 technicians were union.
Now, more Verizon Wireless workers are organizing: Brooklyn, New York and Everett, Massachusetts workers recently voted to join CWA. Union density in Verizon Wireless is growing as CWA expands our foothold in the company.
Management knows that as the union grows, they cannot implement their strategy to isolate and shrink CWA and IBEW—and reduce their labor costs.
Together, Verizon and Verizon Wireless workers must support one another to stop the company’s strategy. Our future depends on it!
