Frontier Bargaining Update - August 29, 2022
Today we met with the Company to continue our bargaining efforts. The Union and Company agreed that we are still negotiating over Wages (with TPA), Job Security and Contracting. Your Bargaining Committee confirmed with the Company that the Medical increases and plan design is not being changed until January 2023. Due to the Mediator’s schedule, we will not be meeting with the Mediator and Company until Friday; however, the Union has made it very clear that we are ready, willing and able to meet with the Company prior to that, with or without the Mediator.
It has come to our attention that Company CEO, Nick Jeffery, on a Company text group, is accusing the Union of refusing to meet in bargaining in the month of August, when he states “They’ve not engaged since early August.” Shame on you Nick, point blank this is a BOLD FACED LIE. As a matter of record, we last left the bargaining table with a proposal to the Company and made it abundantly clear that the Company was to counter. Since then this Bargaining Committee has been meeting practically every day this month. In fact, our VP Frank Arce and/or this Bargaining Committee has repeatedly engaged with Bob Costagliola or the Company throughout this month (August 1, 2, 3, 4, 12, 24, 26 and today). The most important part of this vicious lie by Nick Jeffery is that the Company refused to meet during this time because the Union last put a proposal on the table and the Company never responded back to the Union…TRUTH…Nick GET YOUR FACTS STRAIGHT…This Bargaining Committee has been ready to “ENGAGE” with the Company during this entire time.
